Jack & Lidia's Resort

This is everybody's kind of place it's the real cheers!!! First time you go into a local pub you feel uneasy for quite some time not a Jack and Lydia's within one minute I was talking with complete strangers and getting to know people! Everyone in the place was nice everyone makes you feel like you're at home with old friends! When I walked in there was about a hundred and twenty-five 250 lb Rottweiler greeting everybody he was just as sweet as could be! It's a small place and they had a live band a jazz band with a jazz singer she was very pretty she had a good voice and during set right the jazz band and singer would come out and Mingle! Within a half an hour a group of the local man snatched me up and happy in a pool tournament playing doubles! It was a very clean facility it had rustic atmosphere home feeling like almost like you're at home!!! If you ever want to experience a real homie atmosphere where everyone is friendly and is open to talk play games listen to music have drinks this is the place I've been to thousands of clubs bars and pubs but this place in my book ranks right up there in the top three!!! If you don't go to Jack and Lydia's in Lake Villa Illinois it's your loss truly a lot because the drinks are reasonably priced and it's the kind of place that I think anybody would want to hang out, unlike so many bars and clubs and pubs and you know I I get these places and I'm like yeah I have a drink I'm out of here I don't know I don't like it there's just nothing for a real person to associate with Jack and Lydia's, it's like ice cream, it's the lick!!! can't nobody tell me I'm wrong on this review, nobody ! but if there's a teacher out there the teacher could probably correct a bunch of my punctuation and I'm open to that!!!... the fireman

Excellent experience when you see lowing couple still keeping whole place going for dakades of yars, it is bit unusual to find owners passionate to their sight. Although, excellent delicious food, beside, very friendly atmosphere makes you feel welcome. Good feeling to be with people when social media didn't exist yet, well present but nobody pay attention to that, it's like rolling back time

The owners are great down to earth hard working people. They were so nice to my whole family, especially my kids. The restaurant Reflections has the best polish food in Illinois.

Local lake bar, Jack is great and the free jazz on Thursday evening 7-9pm). You'll love it.

I actually went to the tavern at the resort and heard some awesome jazz. Very old-style Polish tavern, with a friendly bartender and really good music on Thursday nights - mainly standards, with pro musicians. Highly recommend.

Best mom and pop bar I’ve been to in a while! Jack is a hoot. The disco ball above the stage was awesome.

We went this weekend for our first time to rent a row boat on Deep Lake. Jack was very helpful while he was a prepping a pig roast for a private party. The boat was $15 for the whole day with our dad's senior citizen discount (otherwise only $20 for the whole day). You can bring a motor to put on the boat if you have your own and don't want to row back for an hour haha we didn't catch any fish this time, but we were only there for a couple hours and not prime fishing time. The lake is very clean. You can see the bottom for a long way until you get out really deep. They have worms for sale for $3 at the office and they gave us cushions to sit on for the boat and life jackets if you wanted them. When we got back, there was another guy (didn't get his name) but he met us at the boat and loaded our fishing gear into his golf cart and gave us a ride up the hill to our car! How nice! They have cottages you can rent for $400/week and there's a really nice Polish restaurant right next door if you're not feeling pizza from the bar at Jack and Lydia's. This place is super cute and I can't wait to go back. We had a great time and it was so affordable. We appreciate the hospitality!
